All 5 Rangers teleport to the park to face the Mirror Maniac. Trini recovers the Morpher and communicator while Billy holds off Goldar long enough for the three to escape. Kimberly's 2 fellow Power Rangers Trini Kwan and Billy Cranston then arrive, causing Kimberly to drop the act. Her screaming and bossiness becomes so convincing that Goldar began regretting this idea. However, he does not know that Kimberly's memories are unaffected by the spell, and Kimberly, after waking up to find herself sitting on a big gold throne at the Cave of Fantasy wearing Rita Repulsa's clothes and holding her Magic Wand, takes advantage of it by performing a surprisingly-accurate rendition of Rita herself. The spell also transforms her clothes into that of Rita Repulsa's witchy dress, complete with the space sorceress' Magic Wand in her hands. Through the use of a magic golden dust that renders Kimberly in a zombie-like state, he manages to take Kimberly away from outside the Fortune Teller's shack, and holding her captive in an underground cave called the Cave of Fantasy with her communicator and Morpher being taken by Goldar as he casts a spell to make her into Lord Zedd's new bride with no memory of being a Ranger. When Lord Zedd reveals a desire to have Kimberly Ann Hart as his new queen, he dispatches Goldar and the Putties to capture Kimberly. The Wand could still grow monsters by itself with the lightning. She and her master-turned-husband Lord Zedd crossed both her Magic Wand and his Z Staff to shoot lightning that would make their monsters, Rito, Goldar and even themselves grow, although that only happened once for the two of them. She used it to make her monsters, such as Goldar and Scorpina, and in one case, the human Green Ranger Tommy Oliver from the planet Earth, grow giant. The Magic Wand (the DoraSceptre in the original Japanese version) is a powerful magic sceptre used by the evil intergalactic witch "Empress" Rita Repulsa in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Carla Perez and Julia Cortez were cast at almost the same time, with one going on to portray the TV version and the latter, the movie version as they shot in Sydney, Australia.~ Rita Repulsa's famous incantation (as she unleashes the power of her Magic Wand). The two constantly bickering with each other may imply the two were simply partners. It is not mentioned if Rita, in this incarnation, is married to Lord Zedd like her TV counterpart. Her wand was made thicker and more ornate. Despite always being seen with her golden two bracelets in the series, here, Rita is seen with one bracelet only. The dangling rope from her headdress no longer meet and her collar has been simplified to be non-circular and adorned with a simple triangular pattern. Rita Repulsa looks very similar to her TV counterpart, despite being played by a different actress. However, when things begin to turn around for the Rangers, Rita Repulsa and Zedd cheer the Rangers on, knowing full well that destruction is to come to Ivan Ooze for crossing the Rangers. Zedd and Rita are overpowered by Ooze, and he miniaturizes them, trapping them in a snow globe, leaving Ooze with the moon base and lackeys to do as he pleases. However, when Ooze returns and it turns out he hadn't destroyed the Rangers, Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa begin to berate Ooze, which does not sit too well with the evil tyrant. Despite her disgust and reservations, Zedd frees the prisoner, revealing him to be the legendary villain Ivan Ooze, whom she immediately takes a liking to, referring to him as a 'real man'. Joining Lord Zedd along with their lackeys Goldar and Mordant in tow, they slipped into Earth when Lord Zedd realized that a Hyperlock Chamber had surfaced in Angel Grove.
